Five Weeks!

The puppies turned five weeks old yesterday. They are running, wresting with each other, playing with toys, and testing out their voices! They're very entertaining (and messy!) at this age.  They all got baths today and since they were all pretty and fluffy, I took some pictures.

Four Weeks Old

The puppies are four weeks old today! It's amazing how quickly they're developing now.  We started them on pureed chow and they are loving it.  Lucy loves cleaning up after them :).  All but one puppy have found their forever homes (and someone is coming tomorrow to see her)!  I'm so excited for these new owners.  Bringing home a new puppy is an event to be cherished.  Tomorrow is going to be a picture day for the puppies, so check back for some photos! :)

Available Puppies

Here is the last little girl who is still available.  Coco is a love bug! :) This picture was taken when they turned three weeks old.  They're now playing with each other and our kids.  The puppies are getting cuter every day!

The puppies are two weeks old now!  They've started to walk and their eyes are opening.  Here's a cute video of one puppy finding her way to mommy.

Sadly, we lost one of the puppies.  She (buttercup) had a hypoxic event either in utero or during birth (loss of oxygen) that caused her cerebellum (part of the brain) to not develop properly.  As the others started walking, she couldn't pick her head up and kept falling over.  The vet said she never would be able to walk or eat/drink on her own.  :( Rest in peace little sweet Buttercup.

One Week Old!

The puppies turned one week old yesterday and the girls celebrated by naming them! They know that the puppies will get different names from their forever homes, but for now, here are the pups and their new names:

The Puppies Have Arrived!

Lucy had 8 little golden doodles yesterday.  Pups and Mom are doing well.  There are 5 girls and 3 boys.

Puppies are almost here

Lucy went to the Veterinarian today for her final check up and X-ray.  She has 8 and possibly 9 puppies in there and could deliver any time now!
